3 Ways To Shatter The Glass Ceiling

“I felt like the underdog in a male dominated industry constantly telling me to work harder, until I hit my breaking point as a new mom. I built my women's wealth boutique because every woman deserves wealth, but also to find a better way to work and help women, making millions, growing millions, between diaper changes and bedtime. And I get to show every woman how to build their own million dollar empires and rule as a money queen. I now work less, earn more, and surround my clients with an entire community with money mentors, a money council, and their peers.”

There are three areas in life we invest in.

Time, Money, and People

As women, we spend most of our lives building relationships. We shy away from money, but now is the time to own the money and earn more of it. The money conversation has been a taboo topic to talk about among friends and family, yet every aspect of our lives are impacted by money. So let’s get the conversation started and begin a new one.

Since women give back 40% more than men do, our entire world would shift if we began to earn more. You can remove the guilt and greed around money when you focus on impact. The more you earn, the more you can give back and become a leader of your mission.

As you embark on your journey of shattering the glass ceiling, remember to maintain who you are, what your priorities are, and what your boundaries are! You are unique, you are different, and nothing about you needs to change. Blasting through a barrier entails getting rid of excuses, limiting beliefs, and standing in your power.

What is your Power? What is your Purpose?

What makes you tick?

To begin, let’s dive into who you are and how to separate yourself from everyone else. Research your industry and do the opposite! There is an old saying on Wall Street, if everyone is asking the same question, they aren’t asking the right question. If everyone does it a certain way in your industry, do it the opposite way! Own what makes you unique, separate yourself from the herd, and stand with conviction.

Confidence is important,

but Conviction is what shatters the Glass Ceiling!

I want you to write down what your salary is, are you happy with it? Now can you double your salary? Are you happy with that number? Finally, double it again.

What you see now is the number more in alignment with your true worth. Get really comfortable with this number.

Fact is that we haven’t been dreaming big enough, so we need to start flexing those muscles. Let’s begin to stretch ourselves beyond what we thought was possible to all that is possible.

The majority of women are underpaid. The biggest reason is lack of knowledge, women not researching what other women in their field are earning, what the men are earning. Then not feeling compelled or confident enough to ask for the raise because we don’t want to appear or feel greedy. If you look back at the third number you wrote, you can begin to see how this larger number can dramatically change your life. You can become more strategic with where you are applying for work, what you charge for your services, and get rid of the distractions.

As you stand in your greatness, you should surround yourself with people who “hear” you. Find a mentor or coach who has done what you are trying to do, and do a background check to see if they have actually done it. Guidance and permission to be who you are and get paid the large amounts are key. No more second-guessing yourself when someone turns you down. You are just one step closer to your next sale. Find your community or group of peers who are striving for the same things you are in life, money, and work. Peer-to-peer support will help you take action in spite of fear, and to celebrate the victories we rarely get to celebrate with others. The old faux pas of bragging about your wealth or income hasn’t gotten us very far and needs to change. Shout from the rooftops about your income, it’ll only empower other women to take a stand in their power!

Invest in your Growth!

If you don’t invest in yourself why should anybody else?

With every new client, I do an assessment to see where they stand with their money. At best, a woman will score 50%, which means we can get about halfway to our goals by ourselves. If you want to become a leader, invest time and money developing those skills. If you want to become a better negotiator, invest in books on selling techniques. You should view your life as a business plan and understand that there are start-up costs to getting started. Build a savings bucket into your overall plan to invest money back into your business or career so you can keep flourishing versus stalling from burnout.

Your gifts are too important to this world to not dominate your career, business, and money. There doesn’t have to be a sacrifice when you do it right, when you stop second-guessing yourself, and you begin to lead. Instead of always hitting the pavement harder, working longer hours, why not become strategic with your time and your gifts.

Next, read about the 3 examples of women, who I successfully worked with structuring their financial well-being and life!

Karem, a woman biz owner, who made six figures but knew she was meant for more, to make an impact, yet she was scared of out-earning her husband. I asked her what she would think if her daughters said that to her. After implementing the same money systems and beliefs, I can show you, she increased her income by $2,000 in the first meeting, after 3 months increased her savings by $59,000, and it keeps compounding.

Jean was never taught about money, let her husband handle the money until she found herself divorced, with 5 kids, in foreclosure, and no income. She spent 20 years overspending, under-earning, and terrified of money. Within 3 months she was breaking even, earned more money, and began saving money while paying off debt in 6 months.

Janice: The million-dollar meeting.

Janice had no clue about her husband's money, she was left to raise their 4 kids, so when she was blindsided by divorce papers, she froze. After one meeting together, I found about one million dollars she was about to leave on the table, even her divorce attorney didn't know about.

Embrace the power within you, become convinced of your earning ability, and show the world your gifts.

Now go shatter that glass ceiling!
