Gorgeous Rooms With A Stunning City View
The first Waldorf Astoria branded hotel in Germany is the Waldorf Astoria Berlin which was opened in January 2013. Its luxurious Guerlain Spa is the only Guerlain brand spa in Germany.
Located between the upscale Kurfuerstendamm shopping boulevard, the Berlin Zoo, and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the hotel is about 28km from the Berlin BER airport.
Arriving at the hotel after a long drive and flight, we were greeted by the friendly reception staff and promptly escorted to our accommodation.
Our 11th floor luxury room had breathtaking views of the Berlin skyline. Right in front of us the Berlin Zoo Palast, where the annual Berlin Film Festival takes place, stunningly illuminated at night, the Bikini Berlin Shopping Mall, and in the distance Berlin’s famous TV Tower standing out in the backdrop of the captivating sunrise in Berlin.
Nothing was spared in decorating the superb rooms at the Waldorf Berlin as the photos we took show. The ultimate comfort and the understated elegance with a touch of Art Deco interior are a winning combination. A home away from home for guests with great expectations. Double windows guaranty that your precious sleep is not disturbed whilst staying in the middle of a busy city.
Imagine having your morning coffee or tea in your comfortable state-of-the art room or suite admiring the stunning sunrise view. It doesn’t get any better than that.
The bathroom with TV in the vanity mirror is a nice touch as is the outline with a spacious shower, a bathtub, and a separate toilet. All wrapped in beautiful materials and designs. Aromatic shower and hair product amenities complete the awesome guest experience.
When it comes to breakfast, you will be presented with many different choices from either the sumptuous buffet or ordering your breakfast favorite a la carte. You can expect a beautiful setting and superb service here, too. A juice bar including Champagne is available to complete your first meal of the day. So go ahead, live the life.
For fine dining in a relaxed modern atmosphere, we can highly recommend Roca, a beautiful restaurant with a hand-painted ceiling and elegant but comfortable seating serving classic Mediterranean cuisine and other delicious bites such as the famous Berliner Currywurst. Or have an afternoon coffee/tea and cake here as this place seems to also be a favorite spot in Berlin for an afternoon delight.
For an original Waldorf Astoria cocktail, a visit to the Lang Bar is a must.
